WHY LOVE ONE BUT EAT THE OTHER?

Mercy For Animals (MFA) is known for their tireless outreach work educating the public about the suffering of farmed animals and the positive impact of a diet without meat and animal products, as well as for their cruelty investigations and the resulting video footage from factory farms. Now, they have unveiled a massive ad campaign promoting vegetarianism in the busy Chicago transit system.
MFA has placed hundreds of billboards and ads throughout the Windy City. Some are on train station platforms, on buses, or inside buses and trains. I think the one pictured above is particularly thought-provoking, with a pig and a dog above the phrase “Why love one but eat the other?” Others pose the question “How much cruelty can you swallow?”, along with the image of a “gestation sow” (pregnant pig) confined to a small crate. The ads ask the commuters to “choose vegetarian” and provide the resource Chooseveg.com, an MFA site with information on why “choosing veg” will help animals, the earth and your health, as well as tips on making the transition, tons of recipes and more.
